The DSS Series Spiking Stem provides system operation crews with an efficient and convenient method for spiking to verify the circuit is de-energized. For customers who employ "spiking" as a safety procedure, the spiking stem eliminates the need to field-prepare a spiking attachment using power cable. The DSS is factory tested, eliminating any guess work that occurs when building a sacrificial spiking extension in the field. This accessory is compatible with the Richards Disconnectable Joint system and can easily be added to any configuration with a spare position.
