In-Line Heat Shrink Transition Splice (15kV)
TE Connectivity’s (TE) HVSR “reducer” kits are used as a transition splice when the PILC/VCLC conductor size is much smaller than that of the poly cable. It can be used as an in-line splice for paper-insulated, lead-covered (PILC) cable or varnished cambric-insulated, lead-covered (VCLC) cable. It can also be used as a transition splice — PILC/VCLC to poly (copper tape, lead sheath, wire shield, UniShield, or jacketed/unjacketed concentric neutral) cable.
Key Features:
- Tested to the electrical and load cycling requirements of IEEE 404
- PILC splices utilize highly effective oil-stop systems
