Bushing Connection Insulating Cover (BCAC-IC2)
TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem BCAC-IC2 insulating covers are designed to prevent animal-caused outages on breaker, transformer, and pole-top transformer bushings, ranging from 15 kV to 36 kV. Our bushing covers have a proven track record in eliminating outages from any types of animals for years.
The new BCAC-IC2 covers provide the same protection with enhanced features. These covers are easy to install around bushings and connections by wrapping the double-hinged design around the top skirt of the insulator, and snapping it in place with a robust latching mechanism. They enable the conductors to exit from the top and side interfaces, without trimming the covers. The design also allows for visual inspections of oil fill levels on the transformer bushings.
Premium, high-voltage outdoor materials are used in the BCAC-IC2 covers. Their long-term performance is ensured, even in the most extreme environmental conditions, thanks to the rugged, cross-linked, non-tracking, UV-resistant and hightemperature polymer.
