In-Line Heat Shrink Transition Splice
TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem HVS-T trifurcating transition splices greatly reduce the complexity of splicing one 3/C PILC cable to three 1/C polymeric cables. By converting the PILC cable to a polymeric equivalent, the splices eliminate compound filling and difficult lead wiping which lets you get on and off the job site quickly.
Heat-shrink components help to eliminate lead sleeve failures by replacing lead sleeves and wipes that can crack due to corrosion or cable flexing. HVS-T series splices provide solderless ground braid connection for PILC cable. Tested to the electrical and load cycling requirements of IEEE 404 one 3/C (VCLC) cable to three 1/C poly cable.
